			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The New Year always seems to inspire us, whether it be by eating better, exercising more, or doing a cleanse.</p>
<p>We are so excited to see so many people coming in to cleanse. A common question I am receiving right now is… &#8220;What is the difference between juices and smoothies?&#8221;</p>
<p>I do think that is something very important to go over. This is the easiest way I can explain it:</p>
<p>The fundamental difference is the dietary fiber. When you are juicing you are receiving nutrient consumption straight to your body, which will feed your body on a cellular level, but offer no dietary fiber.</p>
<p>When you are &#8220;blending&#8221; (i.e. smoothie) it breaks down the cell walls but retains all of its dietary fiber.</p>
<p>When you are juicing I do recommend getting colonics. You will be exciting old matter and it is important to be cleansing it. You don&#8217;t want old matter to reabsorb.</p>
<p>If you are having trouble with daily bowel movements, a green smoothie is a great breakfast option. Here is a basic recipe for my favorite green smoothie:</p>
<p>1 Cup almond milk (or coconut water)<br />
1 banana (fully ripened)<br />
3 large handfuls of spinach (or your favorite greens)</p>
<p>Feel free to make some personal additions to the recipe to give it variety! Some ideas include (but are not limited to): a handful of your favorite berries, ground flaxseed, protein powder, or cinnamon to taste. Experiment to find your favorite combination!</p>
<p>Throw in a couple of ice cubes if you want more of that icy cold feeling and blend.</p>
<p>A regular blender will do just fine for this recipe.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Where to begin&#8230; Well, if you’re on this webpage to begin with, you must be on some sort of cleansing path or thinking about a <a title="Colonic in LA" href="http://www.wellnesswithinspa.com/">colonic</a>. Which I think is great. I love it when people take action to “heal” themselves naturally&#8230;or at the very least, think outside the box.</p>
<p>I have been a <a title="Colon Hydrotherapy" href="http://www.wellnesswithinspa.com/colon-hydrotherapy.html">Colon-Hydrotherapist</a> for close to 10 years. I have had every spectrum of client, and have some amazing stories. What I have really learned is that, we are all more alike than we are different. I find that everyday by hearing the same questions, the same issues. I thought starting this blog would be a great way to address the most commonly asked questions, throw out some helpful tips, and maybe even some yummy recipes.</p>
