The New Year always seems to inspire us, whether it be by eating better, exercising more, or doing a cleanse.
We are so excited to see so many people coming in to cleanse. A common question I am receiving right now is… “What is the difference between juices and smoothies?”
I do think that is something very important to go over. This is the easiest way I can explain it:
The fundamental difference is the dietary fiber. When you are juicing you are receiving nutrient consumption straight to your body, which will feed your body on a cellular level, but offer no dietary fiber.
When you are “blending” (i.e. smoothie) it breaks down the cell walls but retains all of its dietary fiber.
When you are juicing I do recommend getting colonics. You will be exciting old matter and it is important to be cleansing it. You don’t want old matter to reabsorb.
If you are having trouble with daily bowel movements, a green smoothie is a great breakfast option. I actually believe green smoothies are an ideal breakfast.
My personal favorite is the Glowing Green Smoothie, by Kimberly Snyder.
There are endless possibilities when it comes to green smoothies. Play around with it until you find your perfect smoothie!
